But educators also recognize the value of these unique online learning models. Online learning is clearly meeting a need for growing numbers of kids who are accessing these unique opportunities in record numbers. The ability to access of a proven virtual education platform provides both general and special education students with the elevated services and personalized support they need to succeed. Virtual school is a game-changer for students with health challenges or special education needs that would make learning in a traditional classroom setting extremely difficult or even impossible. Virtual education provides fewer distractions for children who may find it more difficult to learn or concentrate in a crowded classroom, allowing them to stay focused and productive throughout the school day. The stability and personal attention available to these students in a virtual school environment can be enormously beneficial. Students who have faced bullying or who experience social anxiety or behavioral issues may also benefit greatly from a virtual school model. Safety and security are obviously a priority for many families, and the opportunity for their child to learn in the comfort and safety of their own home is hugely appealing for many virtual school families. As so many inspired educators and grateful families can attest, virtual school environments can provide students with not just an outstanding education, but with the support and personal attention they need to boost their self-esteem and become confident and empowered learners who are able to thrive academically, emotionally and socially. Virtual school is proving to be a flexible, popular, and effective way for growing numbers of kids to get a great education by providing them with the resources, structure, and expert instruction they need to thrive - all in an environment designed to meet their needs and prioritize their wellbeing. Students enrolled in Fraser Virtual K-12 may still have access to participate in Fraser athletics and student organizations.At a time when technology is influencing almost every part of our lives, changing the way we work, play, travel, shop and communicate with one another, one of the most exciting frontiers in tech-driven innovation is in K-12 education, with the transformative power of virtual school.Fraser Public Schools will provide a device (iPad for K-6 and MacBook for 7-12) to every student upon enrollment and completion of the Parent Technology Agreement.Students may need to come to school for key small group instruction and assessments.Learning will be robust and expectations will be identical to a face-to-face school model.Students will need a learning coach at home to help facilitate the direct instruction.The learning coach, at home, needs to support the student with daily instruction, content delivery, and technology. For younger students, a learning coach will be a critical piece in each student's success. ![]() The majority of the instruction will be online and course content will be delivered by Lincoln Learning and Edgenuity. A Fraser teacher will be assigned to help students check in, stay on track, and align the grading system with Fraser’s. Virtual learners will receive direct instruction from either a Lincoln Learning or Edgenuity teacher. We are excited to partner with Lincoln Learning for our K-6 students and Imagine Edgenuity for grades 7-12 students. ![]()
